Private links
Create a link to your list that you can send by message, WhatsApp or email.
How do I create a link?
- On the list's Share page, open Private link.
- Choose an Access level: View or Edit.
- Optionally pick a date under Expires.
- Select Create Link.
Select Copy Link to copy it, or use one of the Share via buttons — SMS, WhatsApp or Email (and Share… on devices that support it). Each opens your own messaging app with a short message and the link ready to send.
What happens when someone opens the link?
- Anyone with the link can see the list's gifts, and which are already reserved — never who reserved them.
- To reserve a gift they need to sign in. They'll see Sign in to reserve.
- Once they're signed in and reserve a gift, they're added to your list's Shared with people, with the link's access level. The list then appears on their Shared with me tab.
What should I know?
- A list has one private link at a time. Use Switch to Edit / Switch to View to change its access.
- Select Revoke to turn the link off. People who already joined through it keep their access until you revoke them individually under Shared with.
- After its expiry date, the link stops working.
Note: Anyone who has the link can open it, so share it only with people you'd share the list with.
