Inside a gift list

What the Items, Budget and Activity tabs show — and what's different for the list's owner.

What is this page?

Opening a list shows its title, occasion, date and description, then its gifts. What you see depends on whether it's your list or someone else's.

If it's your own list

  • Share and the pencil button (Edit list) are at the top.
  • Items shows every gift, sorted by priority. Select a gift to edit it.
  • Budget shows your budget against the total value of the gifts on the list (price × quantity). It isn't money spent — Weeesh doesn't show you what's been bought. Only gifts priced in the list's budget currency count, and gifts with unlimited quantity aren't included.
  • Activity shows a timeline of what's happened on the list.

Note: To protect the surprise, your own list never shows which gifts have been reserved or bought.

If someone shared the list with you

  • Your reservations — gifts you've reserved appear at the top.
  • Below them are the gifts still available, highest priority first. Gifts with more than one available show how many are left, for example "2 of 3 left" or "Unlimited". Select Reserve on a gift to reserve it.
  • Gifts that are fully reserved are tucked away under Show Reserved Items. They're marked Reserved — you never see who reserved them.
  • View ↗ opens the gift's product page, when there is one.
  • If you have edit access, you'll also see Add Gift.

Common questions

Why don't I see a Budget tab?
Only the list's owner sees it.
What does "Hidden from list owner" mean?
Someone with edit access added that gift privately. Everyone with access except the owner can see and reserve it. Learn more.
